BEHIND THE REDESIGN
As part of the Centennial College publishing program's design course, we were assigned a project where we needed to redesign an existing book cover. I chose the novel Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman. Inspired by the London Underground, a main theme in the book, I illustrated the subway system map and used it as a background for the dust jacket. I used yellow and black to communicate a dangerous, ominous vibe, and I also included an image of a rat in reference to the book's content.
